Vacation Home on Sanibel Island
Posted on February 12th, 2010 | by taylor2 |I just purchased a newly constructed vacation home on Sanibel Island in Florida. Financing a house is not too hard even in today’s economy. Sanibel Island is located due west of Ft. Myers and the ocean is dreamy. I chose this particular home because of the eclectic blend of modern architecture and traditional island homes. The clean sleek lines appeal to my contemporary art lover side and the landscape with the arbor leading to the path to the beach all beckoned my presence.
Finding a lender for your new home is fairly simple as long as you have a competent mortgage broker. This was a home that was easy to finance due to the lack of business in the vacation home selling environment. The home was perfect for my needs. The landscape that was designed by a local landscape designer is the true reason that I bought the house. The meandering paths of native flora and the garden ornamentation and structures like the Arbor brought back memories of my Parents beach house in the Hamptons of my childhood. I am hoping to offer my children the same type of childhood memories that I am still so fond of.
We are planning our first family excursion over the President’s Day weekend and the following week to comb the beaches of Sanibel Island and gaze out at the beautiful Gulf of Mexico. The island has much to offer and an aesthetic of minimal commercial development that I appreciate as a much needed escape from the over developed commercial and residential rush of modern American suburban life.
